Body Language: "Every Body Has Something to Say - All I do is Listen."
My name is Russell T. Sanders, BS, LMBT, and owner of Body Language. I have a B.S. Degree in Exercise Science/Kinesiology from Norfolk State University in Norfolk, VA. and have been doing bodywork since 2003. I completed my massage therapy training at Southeastern Institute in Charlotte, NC. In addition to being a NC licensed and practicing massage therapist (#4167), I am also a national provider (NCBTMB # 451594-11) of continuing education.
My focus and approach to this craft is based on pain relief, with the understanding that pain is an alarm signal that sounds when the body is out of balance. To restore balance, I rely on my extensive training in postural assessment and the use of various bodywork ranging from basic swedish to advanced nueromuscular techniques. I am very passionate about the field of massage and consider myself a life time student, constantly refreshing my anatomy and physiology knowledge and continuously reinventing my variation of strokes. I look forward to not only providing a wonderful massage experience for my clients, but also taking the opportunity to educate them on what their body may be going through and how we can alleviate current and future ailments.
As a continuing education provider, I am focused on providing affordable, fun-filled, basic and intermediate training to licensed massage therapist. My courses consist of one and two day seminars addressing different repetitive strain type conditions ranging from tension headaches to piriformis syndrome. Hot stone massage therapy and reflexology training is available as well. In addition to my live seminars, I also offer several online courses including ethics.
Thanks for visiting and I look to servicing your needs in the very near future.
